Open Evening – September 2025 Entry
For anyone who missed our open evening in June, there will be a ‘catch-up’ information evening on Tuesday 1st October 2024 at 5:00pm.
(This is aimed mainly at parents and carers. Although children are welcome to come along with their parents, it isn’t an interactive event like the one in June and they may not find it very engaging.)
There will be an opportunity to have a look around our school facilities and staff will be on hand to answer your questions, which will hopefully help you as a family come to the right decision about your child’s next steps into high school.
If you would like to attend, please just let us know by email to admin@clrchs.co.uk so that we have an idea of numbers.
Please note that there is limited parking on the school grounds. You can park on the main road opposite the school but please do not obstruct our neighbours’ driveways and please do not park in the bus bays directly in front of school or in the cycle lanes as you may incur a fine from the local authority.
Our open evening for September 2026 entry is due to take place on Thursday 26th June 2025.
In the meantime, there is a short video below to give you a flavour of what we have to offer. Please also have a browse of our website where you can find information such as our school policies, term dates, school uniform requirements, etc.as well as editions of the school newsletter ‘The Voice’ and details of our curriculum, including our entitlement curriculum for Key Stage 3. You can also find out about all the latest Cardinal Langley news by following us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/clrchs1959
Our curriculum is designed to stretch and challenge students of all abilities and potential and there is a wealth of extra-curricular, clubs, trips and activities on offer to help your child develop their interests and make new friends. There is a very strong spiritual culture and ethos here in school. Children are encouraged to help those less fortunate than themselves and get involved with the various social projects and fundraising activities for the charities that the school supports. We are proud of our Catholic character but also of our diversity and everyone is most welcome within our school community, regardless of faith.
Our Admissions Policy is published on our website https://www.clrchs.co.uk/school-information/admissions/ along with a summary of the process for applying for a secondary school place, further information about which can be found on the Rochdale Council website https://www.rochdale.gov.uk/school-admissions-appeals/apply-secondary-school-place
I hope that you can join us on Tuesday 1st October and I look forward to meeting you.
Mr A Bridson
