GCSE Results 2026
Cardinal Langley RC High School is celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE and BTEC results, with students achieving a wealth of impressive individual and collective successes. More than 100 students have enrolled to continue their educational journey at Cardinal Langley, progressing into our Sixth Form to begin their A level studies. This year there was an impressive 10.6% increase in Strong Passes with 54.2% of all grades being 5 or above along with a 6.2% increase in top grades with 19.2% of all grades being 7 or above.
There was a wonderful atmosphere in school this morning as students returned to collect their results and celebrate their achievements with teachers, support staff, friends and family. Staff were delighted to see so many familiar faces and, most importantly, to celebrate not only the academic success of our students but the remarkable young people they have become during their time at Cardinal Langley.
Alongside their excellent examination results, our students have made an outstanding contribution to school life and the wider community. From completing their Duke of Edinburgh Awards and dedicating time to charity work, to achieving exceptional success in sport and embracing the many opportunities available to them: they have demonstrated resilience, determination, compassion and a commitment to making a difference.
Headteacher, Mr Bridson, said, “Today has been a truly special morning and it was an absolute pleasure to welcome our students back to Cardinal Langley to celebrate with them. We are immensely proud of the results they have achieved and of the hard work, determination and perseverance that lie behind every one of them.
“There are so many individual achievements and personal successes to celebrate but what makes today particularly special is knowing that these results represent just one part of what our students have accomplished during their time with us. They have contributed so much to our school community through their involvement in charity work, sport and countless other activities. They have challenged themselves, supported one another and made Cardinal Langley a better place.
