Parental Engagement
We, as a Catholic school in working closely together with our parents and supporting them in the journey of bringing up every member of our amazing Cardinal Langley family. This goes way beyond the classroom and the learning experiences of our school into supporting our families through good times and challenges as they traverse family life. We have a clear programme of communicating with parents their child’s academic progress which can be found here but we also have introduced a number of other vehicles to work with parents over the year.
In September 2024 we introduced the Parent Hub meetings which gave a chance for parents to come into school and chat with school staff and each other about school issues and ideas for how to work together more closely. These meetings happen every half term and are in the school library, all are welcome.
The second initiative introduced last academic year was “Striving to Thriving”, a termly meeting where we shared the challenges of parenting in the 21st Century and talked openly about our own struggles and shared some ideas about how to work through them.
Both have been well attended and very well received and we want to build on that this academic year. The programme of the main parental meetings over the year can be found here, feel free to print it out and stick it onto your fridge!
If you have any questions at all about either of these initiatives of any other questions about parental engagement then please contact Mr Eadie through the school office.
